Tinggly is based in Lithuania, and although you’ve maybe heard of our famous capital, Vilnius, we’d like to introduce you a little deeper into what makes our country so special. Here are seven unusual attractions in Lithuania that will take you off the tourist trail…

The Museum for the Blind

Kaunas

You won’t see much at this museum in the catacombs of St. Michael the Archangel Church, but that’s the whole point. It was created for blind and partially sighted people, with displays that can be explored using the senses of touch, smell and hearing. It includes models of cultural and architectural landmarks that can be discovered with the fingertips, and many more fascinating exhibits. Even if you’re fully sighted, you’ll be unable to see much as the catacombs are so dark.

Admission to the Museum for the Blind is free, and it is open weekdays.
