You might say that Tinggly is the ultimate way for people to create and complete their personal bucket lists.
Whether you want to learn a new hobby, such as making your own personal scent, or the perfect authentic Italian gelato, tick off a once-in-a-lifetime activity like seeing Niagara Falls or mountain-biking the Camino de la Muerte in Bolivia – the world’s most dangerous road, or simply spend some quality time with your partner, family or friends indulging in the things you enjoy best, Tinggly is made for you.
But you know, the team here at Tinggly Towers have their own ambitions too, and just for once, we’re going to talk about ourselves a little. Here’s some of our personal bucket list experiences, things we’d love to do and see, several of which can of course be found in the Tinggly collection.
Formula One Driving
This is one of the classic Tinggly gift experiences where you know exactly what it will be like going in, but you can be confident it will surpass all of your expectations. It involves burning rubber around a purpose-built track in a succession of incredibly fast cars, including an Aston Martin and a Ferrari, finishing with 10 laps in a genuine Formula 1 racing car. It’s hard to think of anything more fun for a petrolhead.Exploring Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu is one of the world’s most iconic sites – a 15th century Inca citadel set high up in Peru’s Andean mountains, it is a must-see for many travellers in South America. Okay, so when you visit Machu Picchu you can expect big crowds which is probably going to take away from the experience a little bit, but the mystery, the awe-inspiring views and the arduous trek to reach the ancient ruins are sure to make it all worthwhile.Jet Fighter Flight in Moscow
When you take a passenger flight in a Russian MiG-29 you experience up to 9G of force – it’s seriously intense, and that’s before the pilot treats you to a series of stomach-turning rolls, loops and tail slides. You can fly so high up that it’s possible to see the curvature of the Earth, and so fast that you break the sound barrier. Nothing else comes close to this kind of adrenaline rush.Swimming in an Icelandic Hot Spring
Iceland is a country forged by geothermal activity, that has created a landscape completely unique and absolutely unforgettable. There are natural hot springs, full of minerals that are great for the skin, all over the country. The most famous of course is the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik, but with a little bit of driving around you can find many beautiful places for a relaxing soak that are not full of coach loads of tourists.Zero-G Experience in the USA
This is the only way to experience the sensation of weightlessness without leaving the Earth’s atmosphere, and you can do it from several airports across the USA including in Florida and California. Over the course of 15 ‘parabolas’, where the pilot pulls a modified Boeing 727 into a 45-degree angle with the horizon, you can enjoy eight minutes floating around the cabin as light as a feather! If you’ve ever dreamed of being an astronaut but never had the opportunity, this is the next best thing.Glow Worm Caves in New Zealand
From far above the surface of the Earth to below it, the Waitomo glow worm cave is one of the most famous tourist destinations on New Zealand’s North Island. You travel through a subterranean wonderland by boat, the rocky walls, stalactites and stalagmites illuminated by thousands of tiny glow worms shining brightly green in the darkness.Son Doong Cave Tour in Vietnam
Fewer people have explored the Son Doong Cave than have set foot on the summit of Mt. Everest. This is the largest cave in the world, so big that you could fly a passenger plane into it, or build a New York city block inside, complete with skyscrapers, and it even has its own unique weather system. Amazingly, although it’s around 3 million years old, the cave was only properly explored in the last 30 years.Immersive Spy Experience
Forget James Bond, the real spies can be found in the works of John Le Carre, and for a hefty price you can step inside the life of an MI6 agent, in an experience that has actually been designed by real-life intelligence professionals. Taking you from the streets of London to a city in Eastern Europe, you spend a full two months in the world of espionage, learning tradecraft, covert communications and disguise – all the skills you need to complete your mission and stay alive for the next one.
