- You will be able to see Lake Wānaka, it lies at the heart of the Otago Lakes. The township of Wānaka, which sits in a glacier-carved basin on the shores of the lake, is the gateway to Mt Aspiring National Park. At 45 kilometres long and covering 193 square km, Lake Wānaka is a spectacular sight from above. (pass by)
- In the rugged wilderness outside of the towns of Wanaka, Glenorchy, Makarora, and Haast, Mt. Aspiring National Park is New Zealand’s third largest park. You’ll see glaciers hanging suspended on mountainsides that are crossed by backcountry trails. Part of a UNESCO World Heritage area, this South Island landscape is truly magnificent. (pass by)
- Albert Town is located to the east of Wānaka. It has some of the most divers landscapes the area has to offer, rolling hills, view of the Alps and beautiful rivers, like the Clutha and Hāwea Rivers that merge here. (pass by)
