We’ll bring the town’s colorful past to life—including stories from the legendary Gold Rush of 1898! Ever wonder what it's like here in the deep of winter? We’ll give you a peek behind the curtain and share why this magical little town has completely stolen our hearts.
  • Pitchfork Falls
Get ready for jaw-dropping views as we pause to admire the towering peaks around Denver Glacier—just one of many stunning glaciers along our route. Then, we'll make another unforgettable stop at Pitchfork Falls, where water from high above at Goat Lake plunges over 2,000 feet into the Skagway River and out to the fjord below. Nature puts on quite a show out here!
  • Alaska
This graceful waterfall cascades in fine, lacy streams—just like a bridal veil—giving it both its name and its charm. It’s a picture-perfect stop to breathe in the crisp alpine air, feel the cool mist on your face, and snap some unforgettable photos. It's gorgeous--absolutely gorgeous!
  • Alaska
Incredible photo ops await around every bend! After crossing the historic Moore Bridge—the only cantilevered cable-stayed bridge in Alaska—we’ll stop at the iconic “Welcome to Alaska” sign on the South Klondike Highway. It’s the perfect place to capture a classic vacation shot with the breathtaking White Pass and Sawtooth Mountains as your backdrop.
  • Yukon
We’ll continue our journey to the breathtaking International Falls, where glacial waters cascade from the Yukon into Alaska. Our adventure then takes us into the mysterious beauty of the Tormented Valley. Named for the grueling conditions faced by Gold Rush stampeders in the summer, this rugged landscape reveals serene green lakes that were ironically easier to cross in the frozen depths of winter. Want to take a short hike? This is a good spot.
  • Yukon
After soaking in the sweeping, panoramic beauty of Tutshi Lake, we’ll head toward Tagish Lake—where wildlife lovers are in for a special treat. Keep your eyes on the cliffs above to spot mountain goats perched high on their rugged terrain. Our telescope can give you an up-close view of any sure-footed animals in the area as they navigate steep rock faces with ease—a fascinating sight and a favorite moment for many of our guests!
  • Venus Silver Mine
Get your cameras ready for a must-stop at the Yukon border sign—the perfect place to snap a photo and officially mark your entry into Canada’s breathtaking Yukon Territory. As we continue, we’ll pass the weathered remains of the historic Venus Silver Mine, a relic of the early 1900s mining boom that shaped this rugged land. Soon after, we’ll arrive at one of the tour’s most scenic highlights: the Bove Island Overlook. From this stunning vantage point, you’ll take in panoramic views of Tagish Lake and the peaceful, picture-perfect island nestled in its glacial waters. A truly unforgettable photo stop! We'll also be on the lookout for wildlife that frequent the area.
  • Carcross
We’ll take a break in the small community of Carcross, home to the Carcross/Tagish First Nation. Here, you’ll have time to purchase a variety of sweet and savory treats from local food vendors and enjoy a relaxed lunch. You can also browse a few nearby shops offering regional items before we continue our journey into the Yukon.
  • Carcross Desert
A desert in Canada? You bet! This fun and unexpected stop takes you to the Carcross Desert, often called the world’s smallest desert. These rolling sand dunes were formed during the last glacial period, when ancient lakes left behind layers of silt that the wind sculpted into dunes. Today, they make a great photo stop—and an even better playground. After all, what kid (or kid at heart) can resist the chance to play in a giant natural sandbox?
  • Emerald Lake
Get ready for one of the most photographed sights on the tour: Emerald Lake, famous for its vivid, almost unreal green color. This stunning hue comes from sunlight reflecting off white layers of marl—a natural mix of clay and calcium carbonate—deposited at the bottom of its shallow waters by glaciers over 14,000 years ago, making it as fascinating as it is beautiful. It’s a must-see moment and a perfect place for photos you’ll treasure long after the trip ends.
  • Yukon Suspension Bridge
Optional Stop with extra admission fee: Step onto the Yukon Suspension Bridge, a 200-foot-long pedestrian bridge that sways 65 feet above the churning waters of the Tutshi River. As you cross, you’ll feel the thrill of walking high above the rapids while surrounded by the crisp mountain air and the vast wilderness of northern Canada. It’s an exhilarating stop that offers incredible views, a touch of adventure, and a true sense of the wild Yukon landscape.
  • Tagish
Optional stop with extra admission fee: Discover the Yukon's premier sled dog experience at Tagish Lake Kennels, home to world-renowned mushers Michelle Phillips and Ed Hopkins. At their authentic summer musher’s camp, you’ll experience the thrill of Tutshi Sled Dog Tours surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery. No reservations are needed—just show up for a fun, hands-on adventure with these incredible canine athletes. It’s a true taste of Yukon spirit and a highlight of any northern journey!
