  • Turnagain Arm Drive
We'll start with a beautiful drive down the Seward highway and the Turnagain Arm of the Cook inlet, surrounded by three mountain ranges! Along this scenic drive you will learn all about Alaska from your local guide. We will stop at points of interest and scenic overlooks for photo opportunities. On occasion guests will see Dall Sheep, Moose and possibly Beluga Whales!
  • Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
At The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center visitors will always see an array of Alaskan wildlife. Keep in mind the animals here have often been rescued. AWCC exhibits offer space for the animals to roam. They are often very close to the fences and walkways making for amazing photo opportunities. AWCC has black and brown bears, moose, muskox, bison, deer and elk in addition to fox, coyotes, an eagle and wolves. This is a great location to see and learn about Alaskan wildlife while viewing them from the safety of the facility!
  • Portage Glacier
This is a Salmon Viewing opportunity when the salmon are running (can be fascinating to see them in the clear streams and rivers) they are often viewable in Portage Creek between the months of May to September. If the salmon are not in season yet, then it is a nice area to walk along the boardwalk and take in the beautiful scenery.
  • Byron Glacier Trail
This is a beautiful and scenic 30 minute hike along a well maintained trail. Here we might see bald eagles or moose along with other local wildlife. This culminates near the base of Byron glacier. On occasion there is glacial ice and possibly caves. (Caves can change with the seasons so there is not a guarantee.)
  • Lastly, we will head back down the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet towards Anchorage! (pass by)
