  • Drive through China Town, Indian Town, the flower market and the central business district of Bangkok. Yaowarat Road, also known as Chinatown Bangkok, is the home of Bangkok’s Chinese community. By day, it doesn’t look any different from other parts of Bangkok, but this big street has some hidden gems waiting to be explored. When night falls, the neon signs blazing with Chinese characters are turned on and many eateries spill out onto the streets filled with foodies. There are many articles about Yaowarat but mostly are just on the surface. We decided to go in depth to explore a few hidden gems, sat down with the owners to hear their stories. (pass by)
  • Wat Pho Thai Traditional Massage School
Visit Wat Pho the temple of Reclining Buddha, a stunning statue with 46 m. long and 15 m. high covered in gold leaf. Along with housing one of the most famous reclining Buddha statues in the world, more than 1,000 other Buddha images are kept within the temple grounds. Wat Pho is the birthplace of Thai massage and still serves as an important center for studying traditional medicine. The official name of Wat Pho is Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram Rajwaramahawihan. Fortunately, saying “Wat Pho” (pronounced like “watt poe”) will suffice!
  • Pak Khlong Flower Talat Original
While it may not be a typical tourist attraction, Pak Khlong Talat does appeal to visitors seeking Bangkok experiences that reveal the daily happenings in the city. The Bangkok Flower Market has a cramped and chaotic feel, similar to nearby Chinatown, and many first-time visitors can get lost amid the colorful sights and seductive smells of this sprawling market festooned with endless rows of roses, ornate orchids, crisp carnations, and miles of marigolds.
  • Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple)
Visit the marble temple, a mixture of Thai and European architecture which houses a unique collection of rare Buddha images. Construction of the temple began in 1899 at the request of King Chulalongkorn after building his palace nearby. The temple's name literally means 'the Temple of the fifth King located near Dusit Palace'. It was designed by Prince Naris, a half-brother of the king, and is built of Italian marble. It has display of Carrara marble pillars, a marble courtyard and two large singhas (lions) guarding the entrance to the bot. The interiors are decorated with crossbeams of lacquer and gold, and in shallow niches in the walls of paintings of important stupas all over the country. The cloister around the assembly hall houses 52 images of Buddha.
