Komiža on Vis Island gained international fame as one of the filming locations for the hit musical “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.” The picturesque town, with its idyllic setting and traditional Dalmatian architecture, provided a perfect backdrop for the movie’s enchanting scenes, capturing the essence of the fictional Greek island of Kalokairi. The production brought a touch of Hollywood to Komiža, transforming its tranquil atmosphere into a vibrant movie set that showcased the town’s beauty to audiences worldwide.

The Blue Cave on Biševo Island is a mesmerizing natural wonder located in the Adriatic Sea. Also known as Modra špilja, the cave is famous for its ethereal blue glow, which is created when sunlight reflects through the water and illuminates the cave’s interior with a captivating azure light. The cave is approximately 24 meters long, 10-12 meters deep, and up to 15 meters high, with an entrance measuring 1.5 meters high and 2.5 meters wide. Accessible only by boat, the Blue Cave is a popular destination for tourists seeking to experience its unique and enchanting atmosphere. The island of Biševo, home to the cave, is part of the UNESCO Global Geopark within the Vis Archipelago, highlighting its geological significance and pristine beauty.
