The day starts at your hotel 8:30 where you meet your driver and guide! The driving take 1 hour to the direction of south Georgia, Algeti gorge! The way goes to a mountains, crossing some small villages ! There isn’t much traffic on the road so the driving is very relaxing and confortable. You even can’t realize that you start driving and that’s all you are on your hiking trial.

10:00 : Hiking trial starts nearby Algeti water reservoir, which was built during soviet time for irrigation the nearby farms, it’s getting water from the river Algeti , which is medium size mountain river , with cold fresh water! So that’s a lovely place for fishers. The trial is very unique one, Birtvisi offers at the same time forests, green fields, rocky landscape, canyons, huge rocky columns, natural fresh springs and human made fortress. At the beginning little bit of going up, forests and fields, then tiny thin canyon where is enough place to cross only for one, walk 100 meters down and you are inside, inside of what ? inside the fortress, if you look carefully, you can realize that is the fortress, the great mix of natural and human work! Have a small brake, near the fresh spring, some snacks and it’s time to walk to the highest point of Birtvisi fortress! Huge rocky mountains, middle ages fortress walls and not touched forests gives u a feeling that’s you are not that world ( by the way in some places there is no phone signal, so it’s easy to feel yourself in the past) .
