The magnificent Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari ranks among the most extraordinary funerary monuments of the ancient world, rivaling even the Pyramids. Set against the dramatic cliffs overlooking the Valley of the Kings, this temple boasts three grand terraces connected by ramps, each featuring a series of simple, square columns. Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs in ancient Egypt, aptly referred to her creation as the "Splendor of Splendors." Interestingly, much of the temple was built during the reign of earlier rulers, starting with Mentuhotep II around 2050 BC. Over the years, many sphinxes and statues have disappeared, adding to the temple's imposing aura. The cool stone interior provides a refreshing retreat from the region’s intense heat and displays well-preserved wall reliefs and hieroglyphics, many of which still retain their vivid colors.

Majestically positioned in the Theban Necropolis, the Colossi of Memnon (Arabic: el-Colossat or es-Salamat) consist of two massive statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III from the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. Erected circa 1350 BC, these extraordinary sculptures have withstood the ravages of time for more than 3,400 years, overlooking the Nile from the west side of Luxor.

Karnak Temple in Luxor serves as a powerful symbol of ancient monumental architecture, displaying grand statues, soaring columns, and the biggest temple ever erected, conveniently located near the bustling heart of the city. Over the span of more than 1,000 years, this site has evolved to reveal a rich variety of artistic and architectural designs.
