Overview
Española Island is one of the most undervisitated places in the entire archipelago. Due to the limited carrying capacity of the island's ecosystem, the Galapagos National Park has limited the amount of visitors to this site. During the excursion, you will have a chance to see the albatross interacting with one another, as well as other reptilians, seabirds and mammals just a few feet away from the trail. This is a unique scenario for birdwatching, given that this is the only place in the world where the Waved Albatross nests, so you will not see them anywhere else but on this little island! Also, don't be surprised if you find dolphins and whales on the way there or back from the excursion.

Punta SuarezEspanola Island day tour, unique wildlife including the world’s total breeding population of waved albatrosses, Galapagos hawk, famous “blow hole,” swallow-tailed gulls breeding, and snorkel with marine iguanas, turtles, etc. Naturalist Guide and Instructor led.

Gardner BayBahía Gardner, which has a lovely beach; and Punta Suárez, of interest because of its varied bird-life. This island has its own species of animals, such as the Hood mockingbird, which has a longer and more curved beak than the one on the central islands. The Española lava lizard and the marine iguana of the subspecies venustissimus, which has red markings on its back. There are also swallow-tailed gulls, Galapagos hawks and other birds. The island has been recognised as an Important Bird Area (IBA) by BirdLife International.
