With a little expertise and some luck however, its possibile to enjoy cycling through back streets and side alleys that bring us out into wide open piazzas and up close to these main sites.
Its great fun winding your way through the labyrinth that makes up the heart of Rome, suddenly finding yourself coming out in an open piazza overshadowed by the Pantheon (for example!).

- This main square in Rome is nestled up against the northern gate of Romes ancient city walls. Porta Flaminio. Its overlooked by the Pincio Balcony, home to the Borghese Gardens. (pass by)
- Coming up to the Pantheon from a little side street with it in full view as we cycle ever closer really adds to the effect of getting up close to the worlds most well preserved pagan temple. (pass by)
