This royal residence and former administrative headquarters of the Jaipur State was established shortly after the city of Jaipur was founded. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court from Amber to Jaipur in 1727, oversaw the construction of the palace. Note: The City Palace entry ticket grants access to most sections of the complex; however, entry to the Chandra Mahal Palace (Blue Room) is not included and requires a separate ticket.

Jantar Mantar - JaipurNext, head to Jantar Mantar, located just opposite the City Palace. This astronomical observatory in Jaipur was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the early 18th century. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar is famous for its collection of large, fixed astronomical instruments, including the Samrat Yantra, the world’s largest stone sundial. The observatory was designed to measure time, track celestial bodies, and predict eclipses with remarkable precision.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of WindNow, move on to the most iconic landmark of Jaipur, Hawa Mahal. Also known as the 'Palace of Winds,' this five-story palace was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Famous for its honeycomb-like structure with 953 windows, it was designed for royal women to observe daily life and festivals in secrecy. A stunning blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, the palace is made of red and pink sandstone, making it one of Jaipur’s most recognized landmarks. Enjoy a stunning view of the Hawa Mahal from the outside while sipping on coffee and relaxing in a charming café nearby.

Royal Gaitor TumbasThe royal cenotaphs, located just outside the city walls beneath Nahargarh, offer a peaceful and somewhat undiscovered retreat. These beautifully carved stone monuments honor notable figures like Maharajas Pratap Singh, Madho Singh II, Jai Singh II, and others.
