Farmland Sakurajima is a rare farm located at the foot of an active volcano. As part of initiatives to coexist with nature, a variety of crops are grown here using a regional circular farming method that utilizes nature, in which seaweed grown in Kinko Bay is used as fertilizer and clean water is returned to the sea. On this tour, sit on the field with a magnificent view of Sakurajima towering right before your eyes and enjoy sweets made with field-grown crops while listening to stories from farmers.
-
The tour will stop at Tarumizu Roadside Station located in Tarumi, an area which became connected to Sakurajima due to a past major eruption, and is surrounded by the natural beauty of Kagoshima, including Sakurajima, Kinko Bay, and the Kirishima Mountains. Customers can purchase their own lunch here. Meal charges not included in the tour. *Credit cards cannot be used for payment at Roadside Station Tarumizu Yuttarikan, so please be sure to bring cash.

Kagoshima is known as the kingdom of shochu, with over 100 breweries and more than 2,000 brands in the prefecture. Shochu, produced in the blessed nature of Kagoshima, is one Japan's most popular distilled beverages. At Wakashio Distillery, after a tour of the distillery where shochu is actually made, customers can enjoy a shochu blending experience where they can mix various shochu according to their own taste to create their own original shochu. Shochu that customers blended can be taken home in a bottle. *Customers under 20 years of age cannot join the shochu blending experience.
-
At the end of this culinary tour of Kagoshima, visit a direct sales shop of a pottery studio where tableware that goes well with food is made. Kagoshima is famous for its Satsuma ware pottery. There are two types: Shiromon (White Satsuma), which is primarily used for ornaments and figurines, and Kuromon (Black Satsuma), which is often used for items such as sake utensils for drinking shochu and other beverages. Ryumonjiyaki is a school of Satsuma ware that continues the tradition of Kuromon. Touring the pottery studio is not included. Only the shop next to the pottery studio will be visited.
