Krka National Park and Šibenik full day tour from Biograd na Moru
Overview
On this tour you'll visit Krka National Park and the historic city of Šibenik on a unique guided full day tour.
The Krka National Park, a 75-kilometer complex of travertine waterfalls of the Krka River, is the largest in Europe. The biggest waterfall, Skradinski buk, is 46 meters high and has six steps (cataracts) over which the Krka river falls, most powerfully in spring and autumn.
The park is adorned with footpaths, which lead through lush, refreshing vegetation, and wooden bridges that cross the rivers by the waterfalls directly. You'll also visit an original ethnic village, where you can admire reconstructed old mills and a house with an exhibition and presentation of old crafts.
Then you'll head to the city of Šibenik, a thousand-year-old city of Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture, where the Renaissance masterpiece of Juraj Dalmatinac awaits you - the Cathedral of St. James, a wonderful UNESCO World Heritage Site.
