I will show you Gothic and Romanesque churches, secret streets, places connected with Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and Priory of Sion, Roman roads, Roman ruins and a torture chamber, right downtown ! We will stroll the cutest part of Latin Quarter following the lost river Bièvre, that still flows under the street of Paris !

I will be in front of the fountain, I will hold a telescopic stick in my hand. You can get there with: Metro Line 4, RER C, RER B, Uber or Taxi. Metro station: Saint-Michel Notre-Dame.

Square Saint-Médard. The nearest metro station, called Censier-Daubenton, is 200 m, 2 minutes, walk down. With M. Line 7 you can go to Châtelet, opposite side from the starting point, on the Right Bank of the Seine or to Pont Neuf, close to Louvre. Metro, Uber to the starting point ~2 euro / 6 euro.

  • Fontaine Saint-Michel
    Constructed in 19th-century during Napoleon III (French Second Empire), was part of the great project for the reconstruction of Paris overseen by Baron Haussmann.
  • Shakespeare and Company
    The famous English Parisian Bookstore, opened by American Sylvia Beach a century ago, a gathering place for writers such as Hemingway, James Joyce and many others.
  • Square Rene Viviani
    The park by the Saint-Julien-le-Pauvre church is the place of memorable events. The Romanesque church dating back to the 13th century, is one of the oldest churches in Paris, is connected with Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code and 'Priory of Sion', Merovingian sarcophagi, Roman roads and is the birthplace of the famous Sorbonne University.

  • Bibliotheque Sainte-Genevieve
    The Library Sainte Geneviève was the model used by McKim for the Boston Public Library in USA. The American architect graduating from Harvard, also studied architecture in Paris, at the École-des Beaux-Arts.
  • St. Etienne du Mont
    Church of Saint-Etienne du Mont contains the shrine of St. Geneviève, the patron saint of Paris, the tombs of Pascal, Racine and Marat. Pass by The Clovis Bell Tower and the College Henri IV.
  • Arenes de Lutece
    Arènes de Lutèce, the Roman Ruins, an Archaeological Site, where the gladiators once fighted.
  • GALERIES, JARDINS, ZOO
    Jardins des Plantes - the Botanical Garden in Paris is place of the National Museum of Natural History. Stroll the garden.
  • The Hispano-Moresque building has a 33-metre-high minaret and a patio surrounded by sculpted arcades, as in the Alhambra, Granada. (pass by)
  • Saint Médard, a nice Gothic church located rue Mouffetard (Mount Sainte-Geneviève). Was built in the XV-century and dedicated to Saint Médard, the VI century bishop of Noyon. (pass by)
