  • Blue Mountains National Park
After leaving the hustle & bustle of Sydney, we cross the Nepean River and start climbing our way up into the UNESCO World heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park. Passing through quaint mountain villages and expansive valleys filled with Eucalyptus forests, we eventually reach the top of a vast plateaux dissected with deep canyons where we will spend the rest of our day exploring.
  • Our first introduction to the Blue Mountains wilderness. We travel through a rugged Eucalyptus forest and across the idyllic Glenbrook Creek before arriving at Portal lookout. Gaze out across the vast Cumberland plain as we stand on the very eastern edge of the Great Dividing Range overlooking the metropolis of Sydney.
  • Sublime Point Lookout
One of the most spectacular of all the Blue Mountains lookouts. From Sublime Point you will gaze out from the rim of a vast canyon towards a seemingly endless wilderness of sandstone plateaux, escarpments and gorges filled with eucalyptus trees, wildflowers and Gondwanan rainforest. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the shade of Eucalyptus trees.
  • On our way to the famous Three Sisters we will take the scenic route through the quiet tree-lined back streets of Leura Village with it's colourful gardens and historic architecture. Eventually we end up on Cliff Drive which dramatically follows the rim of the canyon through pockets of rainforest that give way to glimpses of the vast Jamison Valley below before arriving at Echo Point.
  • The Three Sisters
Echo Point is the most famous of all the Blue Mountains lookouts as it gives you the best, up close view of the iconic "Three Sisters" rock formation, as well as a 270 degree view of the vast Jamison Valley.
  • Govetts Leap, another spectacular Blue Mountains lookout, overlooks another deep and dramatic canyon into which Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls plummet abruptly to the Grose Valley below.
  • Blue Mountains National Park
We will spend a few hours exploring some of the best Blue Mountains natural landscapes with a series of short guided wilderness walks away from the crowds: * Immerse yourself in a Jurassic wonderland of giant tree ferns and rainforest that has changed little since the time of the dinosaurs. * Wander through secluded groves of towering Eucalyptus trees, serenaded by birdsong as you breathe in the fresh mountain air and contemplate the region's ancient indigenous heritage. * Dip your toes in crystal clear mountain streams that meander through rainforest canyons before plummeting dramatically as waterfalls to the valley below. * Get up close to ancient sandstone cliffs, intricately eroded over millions of years, that are covered in a dazzling tapestry of mosses, ferns and wildflowers. * Discover native Australian animals in their natural environment, rather than in a zoo.
  • Megalong Valley
Spot wild kangaroos and other Australian wildlife in their native habitat. We will descend off the plateau and drive through a rainforest canyon into the Megalong Valley where we will look back up at the towering sandstone escarpments & across rolling farmland ringed with stands of Eucalyptus forest.
  • As the magic hour light bathes a vast expanse of golden sandstone escarpments, we'll explore the wind swept beauty of a plateaux top covered in wildflowers and intricately sculpted rock formations, culminating in a breathtaking sunset away from the tourist hordes.
