    The full name of the college is The College of St Mary of Winchester in Oxford. The name "New College" soon came to be used following its completion in 1386 to distinguish it from the older existing college of St Mary, now known as Oriel College.

    One of the most important libraries in England built in 1602, responsible for over 12 million books with documents dating back to the Pharaohs.

    Argued to be the oldest College at Oxford University!
  • Trinity College
    One of the most beautiful Colleges at Oxford University dating back to 1555
  • Rhodes House
    Home to Rhodes Scholars at Oxford, and built as a memorial to Cecil Rhodes; a man so powerful, they names a country after him. Also where Albert Einstein provided a series of lectures while in Oxford.
  • Pitt Rivers Museum
    Founded in 1884 and probably the most entertaining museum at Oxford. Strange and wonderful collections from around the world
  • A weekly location for C.S Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien to meet and discuss their works.
  • St John's College
    The wealthiest College at Oxford University, home to Tony Blair
  • All Souls College
    The most exclusive academic institution in the world, home to Laurence of Arabia and some of the best traditions at Oxford University
  • Exeter College
    Founded in 1314, notable for where Tolkien attended as a student
  • Magdalen College
    Established in 1458 this is the largest College at Oxford. With incredible grounds, it even boasts it own Deer Park. Home to C.S Lewis and Oscar Wilde.
  • Hertford College
    With a history dating back to 1282, this College is known as one of the most progressive at Oxford. A good chance to tackle the rather slowing moving image of Oxford.
  • Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology
    Established in 1683, with a world leading Egyptian section. Also plays host to some of the most valuable paintings in the world.
  • Christ Church
    Nearly 500 years old it has a seriously impressive collection of buildings along with a strong Harry Potter connection. One of the most touristy sites, but a must for some!
  • University of Oxford Botanic Garden
    The University of Oxford Botanic Garden is the oldest botanic garden in Great Britain and one of the oldest scientific gardens in the world!
  • A school of public policy founded in 2010, a gem of modern architecture in Oxford.
  • Port Meadow
    The meadow is an ancient area of grazing land, still used for horses and cattle, and according to legend has never been ploughed, at least for around 4,000 years.
