Oyster Shucking + Cocktail Class in a Vintage Home
Overview
Join me and up to six other guests for an evening of cocktail making and oyster shucking hosted in a 1930's Paris-inspired NYC brownstone.
I'll welcome you with a snaqueri (snack-sized daiquiri) to toast with me and our other guests and enjoy a few French-inspired bar snacks. You'll then create your choice of cocktail selected from a menu adapted from my book, Regarding Cocktails.
We will then adjourn to the shucking table where you'll learn how to shuck a half dozen East coast oysters and pair them with edible perfumes, spirits and specialty vinegars that I import from France. (All safety knives and gloves are provided, of course!) After shucking, we will return to the bar to create one more cocktail of your choice and finish with a sweet send off.
Signed copies of my book, Regarding Cocktails (Phaidon Press), will be available for purchase. Non-alcohol cocktails are also on the menu, should you wish to create two of these instead of an alcohol-based cocktail. Please inform me of allergies in advance of our event.
When giving as a gift, your recipient can choose a date at their convenience during a booking process. Otherwise, you can choose one after checkout and voucher redemption.
