Meet your tour expert, professional and experienced local guide at the parking area which is located in front of famous ice cream coffee house, Mado. You will have an enjoyable walk by the famous Red River which is the longest river of Turkey. There you will have the opportunity to take pictures of local birds, including the Cappadocian ducks and geese. You may also have spare time to walk up to the historical wooden shaking bridge over the river, where you can enjoy the fascinating view of geese island, gondolos, waterfalls and the old part of the town, Avanos.

After that you will arrive at one of the local pottery workshops, which is condidered one of the best in pottery art and is also world-famous for the unique Hair museum. There you will have a fascinating pottery demonstration by an experienced pottery master using the old kicking wheel system. Enjoy your Turkish Coffee or local wine, while getting to know about the fabulous Cappadocian tiles and ceramics. If you wish, you may even have free time for shopping.

Have a short walk through the old street of Avanos and have free time to visit one of the historical and traditionally built mansion, which is converted into an Ethnographic museum. There you will admire the traditional and impressive Cappadocian life style together with local people clothes, kitchen, furniture, ladies jewellery, native handicrafts, old weapons, farm equipment, regional musical instruments etc.

Then you will meet your guide and driver and have a short drive to one of the carpet weaving workshops, which not only is controlled and supported by the goverment, where the young and mid age ladies weave hand made Turkish handcrafts, but also they teach this old art to the ones who like to be masters of the art. After having all the information by an expert, you can admire fascinating samples of unique hand made Turkish carpets including the flying ones..!

In the end you will be driven back to the meeting point where you started the tour.
