Your journey begins with a scenic boat ride into the St. Thomas East End Reserve (STEER), a protected marine sanctuary. At Cas Cay, take a short hike through mangroves, visit a blowhole, and explore tide pools filled with marine life.
After the hike, wade into the calm mangrove lagoon for a beginner-friendly snorkel, where the roots provide shelter for juvenile fish and rays. Then, hop back on the boat to Christmas Cove, home to a stunning coral reef in crystal-clear waters.
Our final stop is Scott Bay Beach in Virgin Islands National Park, a secluded paradise only accessible by boat. Snorkel the shallow waters and swim alongside sea turtles as they glide over the sandy bottom.

- Every passenger after the first six will incur a $50 fee per guest
- Charters beginning on St. John will incur a $50 pick-up fee to account for extra fuel used

We will pick up all groups staying on St. John at the National Park Service Headquarters in Cruz Bay.
We are located within Red Hook Dive Center in American Yacht Harbor on St. Thomas, USVI. When entering the marina, go down the hill into the parking lot and take your first right. Park in a space labeled "2-hour parking" in front of the dive shop or in the parking ramp around the corner.

- As we make our way into the St. Thomas East End Reserve (STEER), you’ll be entering a protected marine sanctuary dedicated to preserving the island’s rich coastal ecosystems. This area is home to mangrove forests, seagrass beds, and coral reefs, which provide critical habitats for juvenile fish, rays, sea turtles, and a variety of shorebirds. As we explore, you’ll get a firsthand look at this thriving ecosystem and learn how conservation efforts help protect these waters for future generations. (pass by)

Step onto Cas Cay, a secluded island within a protected marine reserve, for a short guided hike through its unique coastal landscape. Watch as the blowhole shoots seawater into the air, explore tide pools filled with hermit crabs and sea snails, and look for fish darting through the nearby seagrass beds. After the hike, take a short snorkel in the calm mangrove lagoon, where your guide will help you get comfortable with your gear and point out juvenile fish, rays, and possibly baby sharks hiding among the mangrove roots.

At Christmas Cove, dive into crystal-clear waters and explore either the lively coral reef at Fish Cay or a sunken sailboat teeming with marine life. Your guide will lead you through the best snorkeling spots, helping you spot schools of tropical fish and colorful corals. If you're new to snorkeling, this is the perfect chance to practice in calm, clear waters while exploring the vibrant underwater world.
- As we cruise toward St. John, we’ll enter the protected waters of Virgin Islands National Park, a federally protected marine sanctuary teeming with sea turtles, tropical fish, and vibrant coral reefs. This pristine environment offers some of the clearest waters in the Caribbean, making for an unforgettable snorkeling experience. If you’d like, we can also stop in Cruz Bay, where you’ll have the option to visit the Virgin Islands National Park Visitor Center (if open) to learn more about the park’s history and conservation efforts.
