Overview
Western NC's diverse firefly species, including the elusive Blue Ghost, await on this intimate night hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This 3-hour experience includes transportation from downtown Asheville, guided interpretation, snacks, and red-light headlamps required for firefly viewing.
- 🌲 Easy to moderate 2-mile hike accommodates most fitness levels; perfect for ages 14+.
- 👣 Closed-toe shoes are required for safety during the hike.
- 📸 Photography is prohibited to protect the habitat of the fireflies.
- 🗓️ Tours run daily from May 22 - June 1 and June 26 - July 1, departing at 7pm and returning around 10pm.
- ⚠️ While this area is known for firefly activity, sightings cannot be guaranteed, particularly following Hurricane Helene.
- 👥 A minimum of 2 participants is required to book; maximum of 6 participants per tour.

Pisgah National ForestYour guide will help you select a hike from over 1,000 miles of trails within Pisgah National Forest, Dupont State Forest, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or the Blue Ridge Parkway! Travel time depends on the hike chosed; drive time is typically 20-60 minutes.
