Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at City Cruises Boston, GATE 5 - 200 Atlantic Ave, Boston, MA 02110 . From Tia's walk towards the water (Marriot on the right, Christopher Columbus park on the left) to Gate 5.

As you ride north, you’ll get a primer on what really happened in 1692—from the political tensions to the religious hysteria—that laid the groundwork for the infamous witch trials.

    Upon arrival, step into history with a licensed local guide, the only kind allowed to lead tours in Salem. You’ll explore the town’s most significant witch trial landmarks while hearing true stories of the accused, the accusers, and the long-lasting cultural fallout. This isn’t a haunted house—it’s a powerful walk through one of America’s most cautionary tales.

    Time to get creative. At The Witchery, a welcoming, woman-owned studio tucked in Pickering Wharf, you’ll participate in a private broom-making workshop. Using twigs, twine, and traditional tools, you’ll craft your own rustic broom—a one-of-a-kind souvenir infused with Salem spirit.

    Following the workshop, your guide will share insider recommendations for how to spend your free time in Salem. From historic sites to seafood spots, you’ll have plenty of ways to make the most of your visit before catching your flexible return train to Boston.

  • This is a walking tour covering 1-1.5miles on various terrains so comfortable walking shoes are a must. Guests should be able to walk at a moderate pace without difficulty.
  • Lunch is not provided as part of the tour experience; however, there will be free time scheduled for you to enjoy lunch on your own. Your guide will offer recommendations.
  • Weather Awareness (July/August): Salem summers can be hot and humid with limited access to shade. It is reccomended to bring water.
  • This tour can accept wheelchairs/strollers. Please note that sections of this tour cover busy areas of the city & areas with brick/ cobbled roads.
