Tired of the hustle and bustle in the Netherlands, Richard and Jitske Kamphuys sought a quieter life and found their paradise in Kelowna in 1992. They bought an old orchard, but when fruit farming proved too unpredictable, they rediscovered the property's history as a vineyard from the 1940s. Inspired by the Rittich brothers, early Okanagan viticulture pioneers, they replanted the vineyard in 2005 with varieties like Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, and Lemberger (a hidden gem!). Arrowleaf is a family-owned winery founded by the Zuppiger family in 2001. Originally from Switzerland, the family moved to Canada in 1986, farming dairy in Alberta before settling in the Okanagan.
