Petrified Forest National ParkThis is one of the most surreal views you will ever see. You will feel as though you are walking on another planet when you visit one of Arizona's best kept secrets. During this tour, we will discuss the many interesting theories of how the wood came to be petrified, as well as the amazing exposed strata of the painted desert known as the Chinle Formation (which is only exposed in this region of Arizona). We will also go over the rich native history in the area, as we walk amongst the ancient Hopi and Navajo lands.
-
Crystal Forest TrailWalk amongst the crystal trees. We explore and discuss the amazing exposed strata and how it all came to be.
-
Agate BridgeObserve some of the more oddities of the petrified wood and how it's exposing itself.
-
Blue MesaWalk amongst the landscape that looks as if we're on a another planet. This is up to a 1 like loop where we walk in the midst of the Blue Mesa badlands.
-
Pintado PointMy personal favorite view. I'm clear days we can see over 100 miles into the distance. Viewing the San Francisco peaks in Flagstaff, the ancient Hopi Mesas, and a never ending field of deep red Badlands.
