We will start with theoretical and practical instructions on the sand, covering the position on the board, paddling, dropping and safety rules. Then, we will go to the sea to apply what we have learned.

We will meet at Arpoador Beach, in Ipanema, at the yellow tent (Surf Matrix). We will try to contact the students before the class. If we are unable to do so, please go directly to the yellow tent.

The surfing venue will be Arpoador (Posto 7) in Ipanema, and all necessary equipment will be provided.
On the sand, you will receive training on the sea, waves and how to use a surfboard.
In the water, you will be introduced to the concepts of surfing, paddling, currents, entering the sea and reading the wave.
