Teotihuacan's archaeological site afternoon guided tour
Overview
Visit Teotihuacan, the "City of the Gods", in a half-day afternoon tour, and enjoy the different changes in the sky as the afternoon advances.
After being picked up at the meeting point in Mexico City, you will be taken on a trip towards Teotihuacan, across the suburbs, as the guide gives you a brief introduction to the history of the city. Upon arrival at Teotihuacan, the guided tour of the archaeological site will begin hand in hand with your guide. Visit and learn everything about the most important sites of the place, including the Pyramid of the Sun, the Pyramid of the Moon, the Palace of Quetzalpapalotl, and the Avenue of the Dead, among many others. The guide will provide you with explanations on the architecture and urban design of the site, which represents the Mesoamerican cosmovision, along with letting you see the way in which this civilization lived and was organized. You will have a look at the last sun rays that touch the pyramids as the site empties.
Continue your cultural exploration at a local obsidian workshop, where you'll discover the meticulous process behind this pre-Hispanic art form. Savour a tequila tasting, browse unique handcrafted pieces. Finally, before departing to Mexico City again, you will enjoy some time to eat (not included in the price) at a local restaurant that offers a wide variety of traditional dishes of Mexican gastronomy.
