  • Basilica of Santa Maria Novella
We will start our tour here by talking about the history of Florence and the Medici Family in front of the basilica of Santa Maria Novella, one of the most important churches in Florence.
  • Palazzo Antinori
From Piazza Santa Maria Novella, we will walk through the alleys of Florence and reach Palazzo Antinori, built between 1461 and 1469 and considered one of the most beautiful Renaissance palaces in Florence. In front of Palazzo Antinori, we will talk about the beautiful Church of Santi Michele e Gaetano, one of the most important examples of the Baroque style in the city founded by the Medici Family. Here we'll discover the history of their Coat of Arms.
  • Palazzo Strozzi
Before arriving in Piazza Santa Trinita, we will meet Palazzo Strozzi in Florence is one of the most beautiful Italian Renaissance palaces. Of imposing size (15 buildings were destroyed to make room for it), it is located between the homonymous via Strozzi and piazza Strozzi, and via Tornabuoni, with three imposing identical portals on as many sides. A true masterpiece of Florentine Renaissance civil architecture, it was begun at the behest of Filippo Strozzi, a wealthy merchant belonging to one of the wealthiest families in Florence, traditionally hostile to the Medici faction. Here we will talk about the competition between the Medici and the Strozzi.
  • Via de' Tornabuoni
We will walk along via Tornabuoni, one of the most elegant streets of the city, symbol of the capital Florence and we will arrive in Piazza Santa Trinita, dominated in the center by the Column of Justice, a mighty column in oriental granite coming from the Baths of Caracalla in Rome to celebrate the victory of Cosimo I Medici against the city of Siena. In this small and characteristic square there is the church of Santa Trinita, a structure with a predominantly Gothic layout and appearance, where some absolute masterpieces are contained such as the Sassetti Chapel, (Francesco Sassetti was the director of the Medici's Bank). Also in the square we will be able to admire the severe fourteenth-century Palazzo Spini Feroni, now the seat of the Ferragamo maison and the homonymous museum; The sixteenth-century Palazzo Buondelmonti, a typical Florentine Renaissance palace; The sixteenth-century Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni, a High-Renaissance style masterpiece by Baccio d'Agnolo.
  • Ponte Santa Trinita
We will then arrive on Ponte Santa Trinita which will take us to the other side of Florence called Oltrarno. The Ponte Santa Trinita, committed by the Medici Family, is one of the most beautiful bridges in Italy and enjoys a spectacular view of the Ponte Vecchio. We will tell you its story, from its first wooden construction in 1252, to its reconstruction after the Second World War
  • Ponte Vecchio
We will cross the Ponte Vecchio, it is one of the symbols of the city of Florence and one of the most famous bridges in the world. Ponte Vecchio is one of the oldest bridges in Florence, perhaps also the oldest. Originally it was surrounded by four towers and included three round bays. It was then rebuilt by Taddeo Gaddi following a flood that caused its destruction. After the reconstruction, the bridge became lowered. Nowadays it is very famous and a destination for many tourists.
  • Gallerie Degli Uffizi
Along via dei Georgofili, we will arrive in Piazza degli Uffizi and externally we'll admire the beautiful loggia that surrounds what today is one of the most famous museums in the world but in the past was the "office" of the Medici family. Inside is hosted the largest existing collection of Raphael and Botticelli, as well as fundamental works by Giotto, Tiziano, Pontormo, Bronzino, Andrea del Sarto, Caravaggio, Dürer, Rubens and others
  • Piazza della Signoria
A few meters from the Uffizi we'll arrive in Piazza della Signoria, the central square of Florence, the seat of civil power and the heart of the social life of the city. It is difficult to describe in a few words the masterpieces present in this square: from Palazzo Vecchio and its beautiful tower, to the imposing sculptures present in the Loggia dei Lanzi; Here we'll have the chance to deeply know the Medici family thanks to all the messages hidden in the statues almost all committed by Cosimo I.
  • Church and Museum of Orsanmichele
Leaving Piazza Signoria and walking towards the Duomo, we will meet the church of Orsanmichele. Originally built for the grain market, it was later transformed into the church of the Arts, the ancient Florentine guilds. In fact, the church occupies the ground floor only, while the first floor was the real grain deposit and the second floor was probably used by the Florentine guilds.
  • Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore
We will then arrive in Piazza Duomo where our tour will end. The cathedral of S. Maria del Fiore with the famous Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistery of San Giovanni, all masterpieces that we will tell you about and we are sure will remain etched in your memory when you leave Florence
