The Sisi dinner, interactive theatre-dinner in Vienna
Overview
The Sisi Dinner – Living History is a lively theatre-dinner held in Vienna's most historic hotel. Over the course of an evening, you'll be immersed in Empress Elisabeth’s life story, brought to life by actors in period attire, live music, and multimedia projections of authentic documents.
The narrative is drawn from Sisi’s confidential poetic diary, discovered years after her passing, providing a personal glimpse into her uncertainties, desires, and subtle defiance. You'll be treated to a 3-course meal: Classic: a starter of beef broth with Kaiserschöberl; traditional Viennese Tafelspitz served with root vegetables, roasted potatoes, apple horseradish and chive sauce for the main course; and a dessert duo of apple strudel and Kaiserschmarren. Vegetarian option available: clear vegetable broth with Kaiserschöberl to start; Porcini ravioli accompanied by a green salad for the main; and the same delightful dessert duo of apple strudel and Kaiserschmarren. A violet apéritif (a concoction by Monika Mosser) is included in your experience; additional beverages are available à la carte.
The night reaches its peak with a sophisticated ballroom finale—ranging from waltz to quadrille. This unforgettable evening is ideal for those who appreciate culture, music, and history—it combines Viennese charm, regal cuisine, and Sisi’s authentic voice into one enriching experience.
