Aoba YokochoShizuoka oden, the soul food of Shizuoka, can be found on Aoba Oden Street and Aoba Yokocho. Shizuoka oden is characterised by ingredients stewed in a black broth and served one by one on skewers. Beef tendon, black hanpen, vegetables and other ingredients are stewed and eaten with aonori (green laver) and dashi powder (shavings of sardines and mackerel).
