Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, which was previously known as Victoria Terminus, is among the busiest railway stations in the country. The largest open-air laundry in the world, Mumbai's Dhobi Ghat Laundry lies in Mahalakshmi area is an open-air laundry that is more than a century old in origin. It is a place where washer men (dhobis) gather every day for their regular chore of washing clothes from hotels and hospitals of the city. Watching these men using age-old method of washing clothes with a flogging stone is a unique experience for most of the people. All these clothes are later starched and hanged on wires for drying.
