Overview
Walk over Kala Nagar’s skywalk and witness the organized and chaotic traffic of the city below. You will then go drive through Chimbai village to get feel of old Bandra, which is a blend of old-world charm and modern India. The Catholic influence is a part of Bandra’s charm and has the city’s largest Catholic population living here.
You will be able to find picturesque bungalows which are famous for their film star owners. more famous for their inhabitants who quite often are film personalities.
Visit part of Bandra’s sea-facing promenade known as the Walk of the Stars, which features handprints and signatures of Bollywood stars as well as statues of other Bollywood legends including Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar and more!
Later proceed on to Mount Mary Church, largest and oldest church in the city and then on to Castella de Aguada, more popularly known as Bandra Fort. The fort was built by the Portuguese in 1640 as a watchtower to oversee the Arabian waters and since then, many popular mainstream Indian cinema films have been shot here. You’ll also visit Pali Hill, one of the city’s most affluent residential areas. Built on three connected hills, the posh housing area can be reached by meandering lanes and zigzag roads which add to the quintessential charm of the area.
