This park is known for having the oldest olive trees in Peru, there are more than one thousand olive trees That are above 150 years old. For sure, this is a great opportunity to learn about history, birding, and nature! Just in this park, we will be able to watch more than 20 species of birds like Vermilion flycatcher, goldfinch, amazilia hummingbirds, etc. It is good to know that EL OLIVAR PARK is considered one of the most important lungs of the lima since it has more than ten hectares full of trees.

This Brand-new Park of Lima is located right on the cliff between Miraflores and Barranco's district overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This new attraction has more than 30 thousand square meters! it was built following the ancient Inca building technique called “Andenes or bench terraces” and also long walkable ramps. Since the opening of this PARK, it has become the perfect home for many, endemic and migratory birds (Mocking birds, shiny cowbirds, red-crested cardinals, house wren, etc).and also, for different kinds of butterflies that fly around enjoying the nectar of the flowers (bougainvillea, campanulas, small lantana, etc.) that adorn the landscape of the cliff.

We will have the opportunity to watch peruvian ocean birds like Peruvian Pelican, Peruvian Gull, Inca Terns, Oyestercatchers and other shore birds.They rest, nest or reproduce in our green coast.
