  • Independence Wharf
    Your tour begins at Boston's Independence Wharf.  Walk around to the back of it for an incredible view of the Boston Tea Party Ship and Museum. On the way hear the story of one of the biggest events that led up to the American Revolution. Your guide will also point out notable landmarks such as Fort Point and the Seaport District, which was once a bustling commercial port and is now a thriving neighborhood. 
  • Boston Harborwalk
    Visit the Harborwalk, a pathway that connects the neighborhoods along the Boston Harbor. While there, gain an understanding of the harbor's rich history and make sure to take in the stunning views.
  • Walk past the first main port of Boston, where all goods came into the city for almost 200 years.
  • Quincy Market
    Visit this famous food hall in the heart of Boston, known for its diverse dining options, shopping and entertainment.
  • Faneuil Hall Marketplace
    This historic marketplace and meeting hall played a significant role in the American Revolution and is often referred to as the Cradle of Liberty.
  • Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway
    Walk to Rose Kennedy Greenway, a public park with beautiful green spaces and restaurants.
  • See State Street and the historic Custom House Tower, the city’s first skyscraper. (pass by)
  • We will stop in front of the Old State House and site of the Boston Massacre. Was it really a massacre or maybe just great propaganda for the Revolution? (pass by)
  • A short trek through Downtown Crossing (pass by)
  • Old City Hall
    A short trek through Downtown Crossing brings you to Old City Hall. This beautiful building, done in French Revivalist architecture, was the seat of city government for years in Boston. It also happens to be the site of the birth of public education in America. You'll definitely want to have your guide snap your picture with the bronze donkey outside the entrance.
  • On most weekdays (government hours only!) you have a chance to see the government at work inside the inspiring, historic, and beautiful Massachusetts State House, designed and built by famous federalist architect Charles Bulfinch in 1798. Outside the State House, take in the views of modern Boston, including the skyscrapers of Downtown, the Financial District, and the tallest building in New England: The John Hancock Tower. We continue our journey through Beacon Hill, where you’ll have a chance to take in the quintessential architecture of Boston’s red brick row houses. (pass by)

  • This is a child-friendly walking tour. Children under the age of 6 are permitted to join this tour free of charge.
  • Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, but please note that this tour covers 5.6 km (2.5 miles) of walking.
  • Experience happens rain, shine, or snow unless such weather constitutes a dangerous situation.
