  • A brief stop at the Location of Thorp Green Hall where both Anne and Branwell worked for the Robinson family. Here we will stop close to the Holy Trinity Church where Anne attended each Sunday and also sketched. Greg your guide will explain the significance of this stop and the connection to the Family
  • A short rest/comfort break
  • Salts Mill
Here you will have the chance to visit the Unesco world heritage site of the 'model village' created by Titus Salt to create a high quality community during the 1850. Also a chance to visit the Salt mills. This is an enormous textile mill that gives an insite into how the industrial period was changing in the time of the Brontes. Now an art gallery displaying David hockney work, antiques shops, a diner and retail outlets.
  • The Bronte Birthplace
The Bronte Birthplace was the bullding where Charlotte, Emily, Anne and Branwell were born. The house is now a multifaceted cultural centre officially reopened by Queen Camilla in 2025. Greg will be your guide as we visit this heritage site. Entrance fee is included.
  • Haworth
Welcome to Haworth, at the heart of Brontë country. Your visit today includes entrance to the Brontë Parsonage Museum, the former home of Charlotte, Emily, and Anne Brontë. It was inside this modest stone house that Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall were written. The Parsonage stands at the top of the village beside the church and on the edge of the open moorland, a setting that deeply influenced the sisters’ writing. You now have two hours of free time to explore Haworth at your own pace. The village itself is full of character, with its steep cobbled Main Street lined with traditional stone buildings, independent shops, bookshops, and welcoming cafés. Much of Haworth has retained its historic charm, and as you walk through the streets you can still sense the atmosphere of the 19th century. Take your time to enjoy the Parsonage and the village surroundings, and make the most of your visit to this unique and inspiring literary setting.
  • Finally we drive up Penistone Hill that faces towards Top Withens. From here we will get a sense of the beautiful but bleak Moors that inspired the sister
