Overview
Explore Cerro Mesa Ecological Reserve, admire the views of the island and native species.
You'll leave Puerto Ayora to the higher part of Santa Cruz Island, where you'll take your bike to get to the Cerro Mesa Ecological Reserve. You'll cycle along the roads admiring the local flora and fauna, plus the spectacular view of the island and its surroundings from the viewpoint.
The next stop is Garrapatero beach, where you'll have a picnic on the shore and have the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beach and spot some of the native species, such as flamingos and mallards in a nearby lagoon, where you can also rent a kayak for an additional cost. At the arranged time, you'll return to Puerto Ayora.
