Cincinnati Streetcar Transportation and Infrastructure Tour

Overview

Using the Cincinnati Streetcar loop as a route, this tour will take you by nearly every major attraction in Downtown Cincinnati, with stops at top attractions, including Fountain Square and Findlay Market. However, this is not a typical 'general history of the city through time and here are the top attractions and cultural experiences' tour. This tour is focused on transit and infrastructure, given by a local aware of and involved in transportation and infrastructure projects in the city. Highlighting the city's greatest infrastructure accomplishments, as well it's biggest failures, this tour will focus on the Riverfront Transit Center, Cincinnati Subway, Cincinnati Union Terminal, as well as Kenyon-Barr (urban renewal), and Highway Construction and Expansion. I will also share some of the plans for future projects. Tours are guided by myself, Fenley, an Urban Planning student at the University of Cincinnati.

  • We'll see the iconic Cincinnati Union Terminal, the last great passenger train station built in the country, if not the world, from a distance, a spot outside Robert A. Taft High School.
