  • TorvehallerneKBH
Torvehallerne is a Danish gourmet market. The permanent installation of indoor facilities makes this a year-round market, with mainly high-priced and exclusive food.
  • The King's Garden
The King’s Garden is the oldest park and royal garden in Copenhagen. Today, it's a popular picnic spot for city locals!
  • Rosenborg Castle
King Christian IV built Rosenborg Castle as his summer residence, but he came to love Rosenborg Castle so much that he made the castle his official residence. Today, it is a museum housing royal collections, historical artefacts and several well-preserved pieces of the (castle) interior.
  • Nyboders Mindestuer
Nyboder was another one of King Christian IV’s building projects. The Danish fleet grew excessively during his reign, and more housing was needed. This particular area was built to house navy privates and their families.
  • The Citadel was first an idea and built by King Christian IV. It is one of the best-preserved fortresses in Northern Europe and the oldest military bastion still in use. Until the 1800s, the Citadel served as a working defence installation; today, it houses the Danish Defence Intelligence and the Home Guard.
  • The Little Mermaid
The statue of the Little Mermaid, from Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale, has been situated on the Copenhagen Harbourside for over a hundred years now. She was made by the Danish sculptor Edvard Eriksen, who used his own wife as the model.
  • Amalienborg Palace Museum
Today, Amalienborg is the Royal Family's official residence. Former Queen Margrethe lives in the palace on the left, closest to the waterfront. In contrast, her son, King Frederik, lives opposite her with his wife, Mary and their four children: Christian, Isabella, Vincent and Josephine.
  • Nyhavn
Nyhavn was originally a busy port. The canal was filled with ships and lined with pubs for the sailors to enjoy. Today, Nyhavn is famous for its colourful houses and as a starting point for one of Copenhagen's many canal cruise companies.
  • Circle Bridge
The Circle Bridge was designed by the Danish-Icelandic artist and architect Olafur Eliasson. It is one of the reasons Copenhagen won the Wallpaper* Design Award for Best City by Wallpaper Magazine in 2016.
  • The Black Diamond Mermaid Statue In Copenhagen
The Black Diamond, or ‘Den Sorte Diamant’ in Danish, is the new Royal Danish Library building, built in 1999. It consists of two buildings and a beautiful library garden.
  • Islands Brygge
Islands Brygge is one of Copenhagen's developing areas, moving from a formerly industrial and poor area to a trendy spot for housing, startups, and chic and alternative cafés and restaurants. At the beginning of Islands Brygge, we find the Islands Brygge Harbour Bath, a public pool in the harbour of Copenhagen, needless to say, a hot spot among locals.
  • Snake Bridge is a perfect example of what makes Copenhagen one of the best bike cities in the world. Since 2014, Cykelslangen (The Bicycle Snake) has been part of Copenhagen's unique bicycle infrastructure. The bridge is a must-pass if you go on a bicycle tour in Copenhagen.
  • Koedbyens Mad og Marked ved Kulbroen.
Kødbyen, Danish for "The Meatpacking District", is the famous former meatpacking district of Copenhagen and has recently experienced a radical transformation from a former cattle range, butcher and market area to the hip district and food hub it has become today.
  • Det Ny Teater
Opened in 1908, Det Ny Teater (The New Theatre) has been an active theatre for over a century. The stunning building, which spans a passage between Vesterbrogade and Gammel Kongevej, is one of the most beautiful theatres in Northern Europe and one of the largest in Denmark, with its 12,000 square meters.
