Overview
This tour is on a Fairytale Castle theme as well as history and scenic attractions. It packs in a lot for one day's tour and is very affordable and good value for money. Entrance to Dunrobin castle is INCLUDED.
On this tour there is sometimes the option to I course an extra stop such as going to Black Rock Gorge, Seaboard mermaid sculpture, Cadboll stone, Glenmorangie whisky shop/distillery photos, or salmon jumping in August at Shin Falls. The guide will discuss with you on the day if time allows for this.

Meeting point
In 2025 the cruise ships will dock at Quay West. Passengers disembark and get onto a shuttle bus which takes them to our meeting location on Shore Road. We are the first stop. All the independent tour guides wait there so look for our Thistle Guide wearing purple and a Thistle lanyard.

Dunrobin Castle and GardensDunrobin Castle is the most northerly of Scotland's large castles and has 189 rooms. Dunrobin Castle is also one of Britain's oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland. The castle is in a magnificent setting with amazing gardens. On your visit you will witness an amazing falconry display in the delightful castle gardens. These birds of prey will delight you. Then visit the castle museum before touring the furnished castle itself. The Castle, which resembles a French chateâu with its towering conical spires, has seen the architectural influences of Sir Charles Barry, who designed London’s Houses of Parliament, and Scotland’s own Sir Robert Lorimer.
