The Dead Sea : The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel and the West Bank to the west. It lies in the Jordan Rift Valley, and its main tributary is the Jordan River. Its surface and shores are 430.5 metres below sea level, Earth's lowest elevation on land.

Mount NeboMount Nebo it is believed to be the place that Moses stood on to view the sacred Promised Land before his death. According to the Book of Deuteronomy Moses died on Mount Nebo. In the fourth century, a small monastery was built by Egyptian monks on the mountain peak in memory of Moses. This church was then reconstructed in the fifth century into a basilica. The basilica still stands on Mount Nebo for today
