BayahibePuerto de Bayahíbe is a tourist area on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. It is known for its sandy beaches and diving sites. The public beach of Bayahíbe has a starting point for boats. Dominicus Beach is a long stretch of sand and coral reefs. To the east, the main section of Parque Nacional del Este is filled with caves, some with ancient rock art. Saona Island has beaches and reefs with diverse marine fauna.

Isla SaonaSaona Island is located in the extreme southeast of the Dominican Republic. It is part of the Parque Nacional del Este and is known for its mangroves, coral reefs, and palm-fringed beaches, such as La Palmilla. The island's shallow waters are home to starfish. Mano Juan is a sleepy fishing village near the Laguna de los Flamencos, with colorful huts and a turtle sanctuary. To the west is the Cotubanamá Cave, with pre-Columbian rock art.
