Yusui ParkMount Fuji is not only a volcano but also a mountain of water, storing a significant amount of water. The people living around Mount Fuji have utilized this water for their daily lives and the development of industries. It is said that the amount of rain and snow falling on Mount Fuji totals approximately 2.1 billion tons per year, with around 1.8 billion tons of this water being stored annually. This water seeps into the mountain, flowing underground, and eventually emerges as spring water on the surface of the foothills after several decades. The amount of groundwater stored in Mount Fuji is estimated to be enough for about two years' worth of use for the people living in Japan.
