The 5th Station of Mount Fuji, also known as Fujinomiya 5th Station or Yoshida 5th Station, is the most popular starting point for climbers during the summer climbing season. It is located at an altitude of about 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) and offers facilities such as restaurants, shops, and accommodation. It's also accessible by road, making it a popular destination for those who wish to experience the mountain without climbing to the summit. The station provides stunning views of the surrounding area on clear days.

Nestled at the foothills of Mount Fuji, Oshino Hakkai is a place where tranquility intertwines with natural beauty. This idyllic village is renowned for its pristine spring water ponds, which are the result of the mountain's melting snow filtering through the Earth for over 80 years. As you wander through the village, you'll encounter eight crystal-clear ponds, each with its unique charm and character. The surrounding area is adorned with traditional thatched-roof houses, further immersing you in a bygone era. These houses have been repurposed into shops and eateries, offering local crafts, snacks, and the chance to experience the village's rich heritage.

Nestled in the embrace of the Japanese Alps, Lake Kawaguchi captivates with its serene waters and the awe-inspiring presence of Mount Fuji as its backdrop. This pristine lake is the embodiment of tranquility, where the rhythm of nature soothes the soul.

This shrine serves as a symbolic link between humanity and the awe-inspiring grandeur of Mount Fuji. Pilgrims have been drawn to this sacred site for centuries, seeking blessings for a safe journey and a successful ascent. The tranquility of the shrine's grounds, coupled with the sight of traditional structures and torii gates, creates an atmosphere of reverence and reflection.

This is a five-storied pagoda on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji off in the distance. The pagoda is part of the Arakura Sengen Shrine and was built as a peace memorial in 1963 nearly 400 steps up the mountain from the shrine's main buildings.

A beautiful flower garden faces both Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. This place has some exciting ice cream flavors to try.

Spring cherry blossoms & autumn foliage draw visitors to this green space with views of Mt Fuji.
