Designed by architects Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, Jorge Campuzano and Rafael Mijares, the building surrounds a central courtyard with a pond, on which stands the emblematic “Umbrella”, a column with a roof that drops water in a waterfall. This structure is a distinctive symbol of the museum

• Stone of the Sun (also known as “Aztec Calendar”) – 24-ton monolith.
• Statue of Coatlicue : Aztec goddess, symbol of life and death
• Olmec Colossal Heads, the Tula Atlantean, the Mask of the God Zapotec Bat
