Your tour ends 5 minutes away by foot from the Invalides train station and 10 minutes away by foot from the Eiffel Tower. Your guide will show you the way if needed !
-
Your tour begins at one of Paris’s oldest chocolate shops, founded during Napoleon’s reign and designed by the architects of the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel du Louvre. Once the official supplier to the kings of France and Napoleon, they continue to craft some of the country’s finest chocolates. You'll taste three different chocolates while discovering the rich history behind this emblematic address.
-
You’ll then make your way toward Les Invalides, originally built by Louis XIV as a military hospital and today home to Napoleon’s tomb. Along the route, you’ll pass 18th-century private mansions and important political institutions such as l'Assemblée Nationale. Facing Les Invalides, you’ll pause to enjoy a freshly prepared pastry from Maison Fleuret’s chefs.
-
Rue ClerThe walk continues to a celebrated local artisan, a world champion for his pâté en croûte and a former chef at the iconic La Tour d'Argent. You’ll taste his award-winning pâté along with his gougères, traditional savory bites from Burgundy.
-
Next, you'll visit a wine cellar for a guided tasting of three natural wines: red, white, and orange. You’ll learn about the different cépages, vinification methods, terroirs, the artisanal work behind each bottle and the history behind the recent rise of the natural wine scene in France.
-
To accompany the wines, you’ll sample a curated selection of charcuteries and cheeses, all sourced from local artisans. You’ll also have the opportunity to taste a freshly prepared tartare, made to order by one of Paris’s most respected butchers, whose shop is right next to the cellar.
-
Rue ClerAcross from the wine cellar, you’ll explore a lively open-air market filled with farmers' stalls and local producers. Here, you’ll taste carefully selected cured sardines from Brittany, chosen by one of Paris’s leading fishmongers.
-
The experience concludes with a visit to one of Paris’s most acclaimed modern pastry shops. You’ll enjoy a Paris-Brest and a Chou à la Flouve, two creations that blend tradition with contemporary techniques, offering a final glimpse into the evolving art of French pâtisserie.
