This temple is built between the 8th and 10th centuries, the mighty heritage site complex celebrates both Hindu and Buddhist beliefs and the scale is so impressive there’s a small train to help you get around. The Prambanan is constructed as a sanctuary for Hindus in the region. Also known as the ‘Temple of the Slender Virgin” , it consists of three major temples / shrines dedicated to the Hindu Gods trinity which are Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma and Candi Vishnu.
