The day consists of a hike from the top of the mountain to its foot. We pass through several stages, all parts of the UNESCO World Heritage under the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountains. We have nature as far as our eyes can see, and historic sites from the 9th and 14th centuries.

Kinbu ShrineWe begin our visit to the Shinto Kinpu Sanctuary, at the top of the mountain. This monument is part of the UNESCO World Heritage under the title "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountains". This is an opportunity for us to greet the mountain and its guardian deity, before starting our journey and hike.

Yoshino Mikumari ShrineThis sanctuary, also listed in UNESCO, dates from the 17th century and has remained as it is since that time. We can also see historical artifacts from the Edo period.
