Fort Cornwallis is the largest standing fort in Malaysia. Set close to the Esplanade and Penang Clock Tower, the star-shaped bastion is one of the oldest structures in Penang. Named after Marquis Charles Cornwallis, only a set of ten-foot high outer walls remain, with an enclosed park within.

The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is a stately mansion, refurbished to reflect bygone days of the Straits Chinese settlement in Penang. This magnificent townhouse is the former residence and office of Chinese Kapitan Chung Keng Kwee. He was a 19th century Hakka tin-miner and secret society leader of Hai San. The Pinang Peranakan Mansion is filled with more than 1,000 antiques and collectibles. The residence is unique and incorporates various Chinese architecture. The townhouse, built in the 1890s incorporates Chinese carved-wood panels, with English floor tiles and Scottish iron works.

Khoo Kongsi, formally known as the Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi, is an ornate and historical clan house in George Town, Penang. Considered one of the grandest in Malaysia, it is a significant emblem of Chinese heritage and the success of the Chinese diaspora in Southeast Asia.
