Overview
Bertha Lake is a sight to see and an alpine lake worth adventuring to enjoy. Along the way, we see some of the most incredible wildflowers in Waterton, while also getting views of Upper Waterton Lake. We get a little bit of everything along this trail: mountain vistas, wildflower galore, waterfall paradise, ancient fossils, and an alpine lake.

We will meet in the dining room of the Kilmorey Lodge, where your guide will be waiting for you.
This hike will take you up to the beautiful Bertha Lake. After meeting your guide at the Kilmorey Lodge you will head to the Bertha Trailhead, enjoying Cameron Falls along the way. The trail will take you to a breathtaking view of Upper Waterton Lake before reaching Bertha Falls. A set of switchbacks climbs through the trees to Bertha Lake, where you will explore before returning the way you came. Round trip, this hike is 12.5km (7.8 miles), gains 460m (1510ft) and will take 5-7 hours. This is a moderate hike that requires endurance.
