1 Day Gorilla trekking volcanoes national park
Overview
The one day Rwanda gorilla trek takes you to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas, thanks to the efforts of Dian Fossey. Her conservation work ended tragically when she was murdered in December 1985.
- 🍽️ Early morning breakfast is included before meeting your guide around 4 a.m.
- 🚗 A drive to Musanze leads you to the volcanoes headquarters by around 7 a.m. for a briefing about the mountain gorillas and the volcanoes.
- 🌲 After the briefing, enter the forest to track gorillas; this experience lasts approximately one hour until midday.
- 📸 You can take photos and videos when you meet with the gorillas during your time with them.
- 🍴 Lunch is provided after your time with the gorillas, followed by a visit to Gorilla Guardian Village for a cultural experience.
- 🏨 The day concludes with a drive back to Kigali and return to your hotel.
