Mt Longonot, a dormant volcano in the Rift Valley, features a serrated crater rim and rises 1000m above the valley floor. This peak, formed 400,000 years ago, offers fabulous views and has a rich geological history.

Mount Longonot National ParkWe shall drive from Nairobi to Mt Longonot where we will meet our guide. He will guide you throughout Mt Longonot Hike. It takes about 3 Hrs to get to the Rim and another like 3 to 5 hrs to go round the Crater. The Crater highest peak standing at 2780 m above sea level is somehow at the middle of the hike. After the hike we will drive to a nearby restaurant for a hot lunch before driving back to Nairobi where our hike ends.
